Merz Under Attack for Using Racist Paroles to Legitimize Mass Deportations

Friedrich Merz, German Chancellor (Christian Democratic Union), has once again stirred up a public outcry following his recent speech on large-scale deportations of migrants in Germany.
Recently, Merz preached about the necessity of changing the "cityscape" in Germany - a term describing the appearance of a city in order to legitimize his planned mass deportations of immigrants. His statement has caused major reputational backlash within German society and represents once again Merz's inability to anticipate reactions to his openly racist statements. Creating a society in which migrants and natives coexist peacefully has not been on his agenda so far and according to his most recent “cityscape statement” will probably never be.
In recent weeks, Merz has often appeared to have difficulties with his temper. Impulsive, irrational, emotionally loaded or sheer strategically navigated - neither sense of empathy, nor sense of sensitivity can be found in his public appearances. Listening to Merz's policy navigations, German citizens get lost in confused scenes of arbitrary justifications, emotional eruptions and the desperate search for authenticity and action-oriented initiatives. Indeed, they have to deal with an immature conservative who tries to legitimize his isolationist, openly xenophobic policies by calling people, not representative of the typically German habitus - white skin, blue eyes - a danger for Germany's daughters. 1
I - as a German daughter - feel absolutely misrepresented by an old, white, male politician, who - without asking - raises his voice "for" me. The fact that Merz occasionally decides to disguise himself as a Jew, by wearing the Kippah, although he is openly adherent to Christianity, indicates an identity problem. Not only that.
This man got to rule my home country out of the lack of alternatives. Indeed, it seems like Merz's office has been built on an accident, a failure to diversify and present suitable candidates for the federal election in February 2025. Merz took two attempts to win the Bundestagswahl - the parliamentary election of the Chancellor. By needing two attempts, he struck the high score to become Chancellor in post-war Germany. Merz’s run for the office of the Chancellor was therefore not only unprecedented, it has paved the way for seemingly substitutional policy-making.
Maladjustment of policy prescriptions, missing know-how in dealing with media and his overall image as a political pinch-hitter leave me with the bitter aftertaste of immaturity and instrumentalization of feminism to legitimize his anti-immigration policies. Eventually the power struggle against the far right party "the Alternative for Germany" (AFD) represents a peak venture in his domestic politics while it once again shows his infantile way of dealing with political challenges.
When I walk around German city centers or wait at German train stations most of the people holding a bottle of alcohol in their hands, smoking Cannabis or injecting drugs are the ones with light skin and European appearance. According to my personal experience, these people pose the greatest threat for potential harassment or aggressions against females. As a daughter of Germany I can say that, at no point in time, have I ever felt threatened by a cityscape with hijabi women or dark-skinned pious men. On the contrary! Women and men openly displaying their piety have given me comfort. It is largely them who abstain from the consumption of mind-altering substances.
Since Merz represents the Christian Democratic Union it is a shame for all party adherents and Christian citizens as a whole of how little Merz cares about the Christian practices of loving one's neighbor, doing charity and easing integrity. Being derailed by a power struggle against the AFD Merz has gotten absorbed by the greed to prevail and to prove himself worthy of his office as German Chancellor - in vain. No matter the moral costs that get along with the violent perseverance of his governance, he paid without doing the maths. No wonder his popularity is hitting red numbers.
Merz's exposure on the world stage and the statements he is giving urge German daughters to speak up for themselves and oppose weaponized feminism. Germany, always proudly identifying as a liberal democracy, should allow emancipated input of female voters without patronizing them by making use of racism-glorifying statements. German daughters don't need an intermediate, we can speak for ourselves and we will!
